Westgate Historic Williamsburg Resort, Williamsburg

This hotel had a great experience overall with easy check-in and clean accommodations. The privacy of the room setup was impressive, making it ideal for families with pets. However, there was a significant concern with one guest's experience where they found the location off-putting and unsafe, which could be a consideration for future travelers.

I had a disappointing experience at this hotel. Upon arrival, I found the room in unacceptable condition, including an open door and a strange smell. Despite moving to a slightly better room, it was still dated and the air conditioning was noisy. However, I did appreciate that one clerk was helpful in relocating us. Unfortunately, this property did not meet the expectations set by the brand, and I would not recommend staying here.

I spent a week at the resort and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The rooms were clean and spacious, and I really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff throughout my stay. The location made it easy to explore the area, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. However, the facilities could use some updates, and I noticed a bit of a musty smell in certain areas, which detracted from the overall vibe.

This resort has beautiful villas that come fully equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. While the check-in process was straightforward, the customer service left much to be desired, particularly with communication before and during our stay. The location is a bit confusing with the main lodge being separate from the villas, which could be inconvenient. Additionally, the promised amenities were not fully up to par, which was a letdown given the expectations set by the resort's marketing.

We had a great stay with family in a clean and spacious villa that offered all the comforts we needed. The washer/dryer in the room was a fantastic bonus, saving us from dragging home a pile of laundry. While the resort had some amenities that made our time enjoyable, the location could have been better for accessibility to main attractions, and the initial experience could use improvement based on our room assignment.
